Barbara Allan Berrong

Barbara Allan Berrong 83 of Thompsonville and the Galatia area passed away Thursday December 25, 2025 at 12:20 P.M. in the Eldorado Rehab & Nursing Center. Barbara was born on May 8, 1942 in Galatia, Illinois to the late Charles A. & Wilma (Sheppard) Phelps.

Barbara married Virgil Tulis Berrong on July 17, 1959. Virgil preceded her in death on April 23, 2024. Barbara was also preceded by her parents and a sister Carolyn Green

Barbara is lovingly remembered by three children Virgil (Tamey) Berrong Jr., Sunday (Dwight) Whitlock, Kevin (Tonya) Berrong and brother Dennis Phelps. Barbara is also survived by her cherished grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Private graveside services were held Tuesday January 2, 2026 at the Lebanon Cemetery Galatia, Illinois.
