Frieda Ward

Frieda Ward 88 of Marion formally of Galatia, Illinois, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 24, 2025 at 4:00 P.M. at the Integrity Nursing Home Marion Illinois. Frieda was born on April 13, 1937 to the late Charles & Hazel Karnes. Throughout her life, Frieda was known for her compassion and dedication to helping others. She spent her career serving in the school system and caring for senior citizens, touching the lives of many in her community through her work and kindness. She is lovingly remembered by her children, Dale Patterson, Jerry (Mary) Coffman & Mary (Paul) Choker; her cherished grandchildren; Six great grandchildren who brought her so much joy. She is also survived by her beloved sister, Marjorie Mott. Frieda was preceded in death by her son  David Coffman in 1978.

Funeral services will be Friday August 29, 2025 at 1:00 P.M. at the Sloan Funeral Home in Galatia with Visitation from 11:00 A.M. till 1:00 P.M. services time at the Sloan Funeral Home in Galatia. The Rev Kevin Peyton will Officiate with burial in the Lindale Cemetery Eldorado.

Frieda's memory will live on in the hearts of her family and all who had the honor of knowing her.
