Judy Towle

With heavy hearts we share the passing of Judy (Johnson) Towle who passed Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at the Loft in Peoria.

She was born May 27, 1945, in Eldorado, IL to Kenneth & Bonnie June (Barnes) Johnson. Judy married the love of her life Billy Rex Towle on April 5, 1962.

Judy was a proud retiree from Manual High School in Peoria IL where she worked in the cafeteria. Moved back to Raleigh IL where she worked for a while at the Dollar General Store and the Money Stretcher in Galatia IL. She touched many lives and made wonderful friends.        

Judy’s zest for life, faith, love of music, friendship, ferocious spirit, and generous heart will live on forever in our own hearts and minds.

Judy is survived by her husband, Bill Rex Towle; 4 children, Debra (Dave) Ingram, Kenny (Mary Jo) Towle, Kim (Tony) Setraycic, and Jeff (Lorna) Towle; 6 grandchildren, Brittany (Alex) Bradley, Kristin (Charles) Martin, Ryan Ingram, James (Amber) Towle, Selina Towle, and Kristina Gillespie; 7 great grandchildren, Hayden, Corbin, Colson, Rosalee, Bennett, Rhett, and Austyn-Rose.  Also survived by multiple nieces and nephews.

She was proceeded in death by her parents and brother, Jerry Paul Johnson.

A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
